WALK ON WACONIA
Please join us as we Walk for a Cure, Sunday May 30th from 1-2:30. As as community we need to come together to support awareness and a cure. With hopes of making this a family event, we are keeping the walk short. We will be starting at Emma's own Southview Elementary and walking the streets of Waconia. Although the Walk is free, we will be accepting donations of which 100% will be forwarded to the DIPG foundation that is working towards a cure, The Cure Starts Now. The suggested donation for Adults will be $10 and $5 for Children. Please wear gray to support Brain Cancer Awareness or red in honor our Sweet Emma. Bring signs, balloons, loud speakers... whatever you can dream up. We want a fun event that supports what we need... a cure!

We are pleased to announce that all the proceeds from our Walk on Waconia will benefit The Cure Starts Now Foundation for DIPG research. We will support their continued efforts to find the cure. Southview Elementary is located at 222 West 4th Street in Waconia. There is a parking lot along east side of the school and street parking is permitted on the surrounding blocks. The walk will start from the Southview playground at 1:oo p.m.. Come early to find a place to park. We will be walking approximately 2 miles. Please note that the bathrooms of Southview will not be available so make sure the kids take a potty break before we take off. Please note that the city of Waconia has asked that we remain on the sidewalks. For this reason, no scooters, skateboards, bikes or roller blades can be used. Remember to bring water! It sounds like it is going to be a hot weekend!
